Poster presentation slots are
assigned based upon dates of registration and payment
of registration fees.
Please prepare an abstract, one per participant
due to space and time, as instructed below and send to
the Sanibel Office prior to November 30, 2007. You may
request a poster slot after that date, but in that case
plan to bring copies of your abstract to make available
just prior to your session.
The poster sessions at the Sanibel Symposium are an
essential part of
the meeting, as they offer an opportunity for exchange of forefront
ideas
in the field. The following instructions describe the general framework
of
the poster sessions:
Each poster contribution consists of:
- an abstract will be available on the web
- a 2-minute advertisement before the entire Symposium
audience to introduce the poster,
- a bulletin-board presentation totaling 60 minutes
directed at a smaller group of interested people. In addition, a paper
may be submitted to the proceedings.
The advertisements will be presented by a combination of:
- Overhead projector viewgraphs - please use no more
than two (2) viewgraphs. The viewgraphs should be of such a quality (a
minimum of 24 pts. and no more than five (5) lines is suggested) so
they may be seen by the people in the back of the room, about 20 meters
away.
- A brief (two (2) minutes) talk in English giving
additional details. A yellow light will indicate that there is one
(1) minute left and a red light will
indicate the two (2) minutes are over.
After all advertisements are over, the contributors will move to their
individual stations.
BULLETIN
BOARDS are nearly 4 feet wide and 4 feet high,
for the bulletin-board
presentations. Bulletin board presentations may
be posted the morning of your presentation and should be removed by the next
morning.
