| In June 2005 we purchased a 76 node SUN cluster we have affectionately named Ra (mostly because its short). Each node of this cluster features dual 2.5GHz Opterons, 4GB of RAM, and a 70GB local disk. | ||
One rack, out of two, of our "Ra" SUN cluster.
| In addition to this sun cluster we have a 16 node dual processor 2.2GHz Opteron cluster, called Amun, and approximately 2.5 TB of storage space. | ||
Our two RAID systems providing all our hard drive space.
All of our racks. | ||
| Also, all students and post-docs get Apple computers for their personal use in the office. In addition to these resources we have access to supercomputers at PSC, UFL computing power, and other computers run by QTP. See the Other Computers section for more information on these computers. Featured software packages in the Merz group include DivCon, AMBER, CHARMM, and Gaussian. We use the Intel and Portland Group compilers. | ||
