Research Interests
My current work involves using a density matrix approach for treating molecular
systems in a medium, undergoing dissipative dynamics. Examples are
photodesorption of molecules from metal surfaces and optical spectra of atoms
in atomic clusters. I am also interested in numerical methods for solving
and propagating the solutions of the Liouville-von Neuman equation for the
density matrix, including population relaxation and decoherence rates as
given by dissipative potentials and also by Lindblad-type treatments.
