About me

I was born in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova and moved to Texas in 1998 where I attended University of North Texas and received B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Molecular biology. I moved to Gainesville in the summer of 2004 to pursue my studies in computational chemistry with a special interest in biological systems. My research advisors are Dr. Jeffrey L. Krause and Dr. Adrian E. Roitberg. My projects include modeling dye-labeled DNA systems and interpeting FRET experiments as well as homology modeling and ligand-protein docking.

I anticipate to graduate in the Fall 2008 and am currently looking for a postdoc position.
