Charging algorithm

The algorithm for calculating the charges is as follows: The total amount to cover the maintenance contract is split, currently in equal parts, among CPU charge, permanent (home) disk charges, and workstation charges. From the available resources of each a cost per units for CPU time, permanent (home) disk space and workstation use is computed.

Pages printed are $.05 per page for color pages on the HP printers. Posters cost $20.00 per DesignJet 42 inch x 5 feet plot.

Workstations are charged with a rate of $0.00 for desktops.

Disk space is charged at about $1.50 per GB per day.

CPU usage is not charged.
